RB Leipzig secured their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt at Red Bull Arena on Saturday evening. The game was played in front of a crowd of just under 15,000 spectators.
The match started off with RB Leipzig taking control of the game from the start, as they looked to dominate the midfield and create chances for their forwards. However, it wasn't until the 27th minute that the breakthrough finally came for RB Leipzig. A long-range shot from the left wing by Oliver Kimmich found its way into the back of the net, giving the home side a 1-0 lead.
Just before half-time, the visitors doubled their advantage when substitute Julian Brandt found space on the right-hand side of the box and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper. This goal was Brandt's second of the season, after he scored against Hertha Berlin last week.
Eintracht Frankfurt were unable to find any way back into the game, as RB Leipzig continued to play well and maintain their dominance. In fact, it was RB Leipzig who had the better of the final third of the match, creating more chances and scoring a crucial goal late on.
In total, RB Leipzig controlled the game throughout and dominated possession, while Eintracht Frankfurt struggled to create any clear-cut opportunities. It was a well-deserved victory for the hosts, who will now look to build on this result and continue their winning ways in the Bundesliga.
